We have a 4, nearly 5 year old Jack Russell. She was very easy to toilet train, had no issues from a young age. Barely any accidents. She's usually in the front room overnight... She gets let's out around 10-11pm, then Dp let's her out before work at 5.30amish. Never usually an issues or accidents.

Lately I've been noticing she's urinating overnight on the carpet. So I've been shutting her in the kitchen rather than letting her stay on the sofa. (She has a very large comfy bed in kitchen).

Any ideas? Is this normal? Can't really let her out any later or any earlier in the morning!

Maybe I'll just have to get up and let her out during the night!

Would be worth checking in with the vet.

Is she weeing when shut in the kitchen?
If not, I'd assume she's had an accident on the carpet and the smell has remained making it okay to go there again in her mind.
There are specific products to remove the traces.

Might be that you’ve not cleaned the carpet properly so she can smell it, and will wee there.
But I think a check up for possible UTI etc would be in order.
Does she wee when she’s in the kitchen ?
Could you hear her if she was asking to go out ?
