Tip For Dogs Frightened By Fireworks

One of my three hates fireworks, I saw a tip to play Taiko Drumming from YouTube as apparently the frequency of it blocks the noise.

My dog went from running up and down barking to sound asleep within 5 minutes, a local friend tried with her dog who had been extremely distressed and music and calming spray hadn’t worked and he fell asleep too.

That Sounds good! I'll look it up on another night.

One of mine likes to have their bed upstairs in the guest bedroom so I've do that the last couple of years and add one of my worn jumpers into the bed for them to curl up against. It seems to work for them.

Tell the selfish fuckers setting off fireworks in residential neighbourhoods to tone down on the animal cruelty and pack it in.

@User135644 I wish they would, still going off here, but the drumming has definitely helped us. I sign a petition every year to restrict fireworks to public displays only, not just for animals but for people who are upset or injured by them. Parliament is debating the matter again on 8th November if you want to contact your MP.

The government won't take any notice unless the Daily Mail campaign against it.

Mine has gone from not leaving my side (even following me to the loo) and being on top of me absolutely shaking, to being fairly chilled out in the kitchen (where she never normally goes on her own). The extractor fan is on full and for some reason it seems to be keeping her calm.

Even in rural areas they do it. We have horses goats , sheep and cows terrified near me. Why bother moving to the countryside if your going to let fireworks off. The clowns could buy silent ones or travel to watch a public display.
