He is currently on Beco which is costing £20 a week which is a lot and his poo is quite soft on it. Cocker spaniel x - any recommendations? Don't want to do raw. Was looking at Harringtons or The Hunger of hte Wolf

We give our 10 month lab Guru. He loves it. Can have it dry, mixed with a little warm water to give a kind of gravy and good to stuff kongs with. He seems really happy on it, lovely shiny coat, good regular firm non-stinky (well, not foul stinky!) poos. He's had the Tasty Tucker and Surf & Turf and loved them both.

We use a combination of:-
butternut box (comes frozen and is wet food)
wolfworthy (dry)
platinum (dry)

BlackSwan · 01/11/2021 21:38

Aatu dry food for breakfast (chicken flavour)
Lily’s kitchen wet food for dinner (individual portions)
Plus snacks.

Was feeding Orijen dry food but it was possibly a bit bland as the change to Aatu was really welcome.

We feed Millie's wolf heart

XiCi · 02/11/2021 10:26

We use Butternut Box, he loves it

Breeder weaned onto Eden. Very good food and I’ve had no issues so far.

PuddinAforeDinner · 02/11/2021 12:43

We have just changed to Millie's Wolfheart and our Springers love it.

Labelicious · 02/11/2021 12:45

I would love to know too. Currently feeding Orijen but puppy has completely gone off it unless mixed with wet food so wet and dry recommendations welcome!

My dog eats bella and duke , she never refuses a meal .

ImJustNotMeAnymore · 02/11/2021 14:24

Our 5 month old spanner is on Harringtons. £20 for 10kg in pets at home. She's doing well on it. It's clean too, and not oily, so can be put in a pocket to use as treats for training. Poops are fine and she's happy eating it.

Always fed mine burns alert chicken until he got older now he's on burns fish

butternut box, and if u play around with the order size it works out really cheap.

eg. my dog needs 300g a day. but by ordering the 600g meals I get two days for only a 1/3rd more rather than paying in full.

We feed our 1 year old spaniel Millie’s Wolfheart - she’s doing well on it, solid poos

Jinnybean · 04/11/2021 09:19

That is genius whereisthekey. Why didn't I think of that! You've just saved me £20 a month so thank you!
MrsHerculePoirot · 04/11/2021 09:47

Another butternut box user here. We use half that and half orijen puppy large for our lab. His poos are huge improvement from before and I like all the butternut flavours.

We used this website to compare for what we wanted: www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/

@XiCi oh great! glad it's helped :)
