My little lady: is it time?

My little lady is 14.
Shes a yorkshire terrier.

I have booked her in with her vet later today because I think she has a bad ear infection.
Shes been scratching her ear alot, now there is yellow discharge.
She can't even walk today 😞 its awful seeing her like this.

Previous to this she hasn't been great.
She has been deaf for some time, eyesight has been bad for a while too.

We built a ramp for her to get onto the sofa a while ago because she struggled, but now she even struggles with getting in the back door.

She still eats well, even with minimal teeth.

She just doesn't seem happy anymore, enjoys her cuddles but nothing more.

I go between feeling like shes fine, loads of time left to feeling like maybe it's time...
How do you know? At what point is best for them?

Aw, bless her. I think when they don't have any quality of life anymore then it is the right time to let them go. It sounds like you have given her a lovely life and you love each other very much. Maybe see what the vet suggssts is the best thing to do? Flowers
