We’ve got a nearly 6 month old border terrier pup. She’s intelligent but very strong willed, picked up lots of the training so far fairly well but does it only on her terms and when there’s nothing more interesting happening! We are getting there slowly though.
A problem I’ve had for a while now is that she’s constantly biting my feet. At first I thought it was just because of my socks (which she loves!!) but even when I’m not wearing any, she’s always biting me. My feet are covered in bruises and it’s agony!!!
Usually it’s to get my attention. She’ll drop a toy near me for example and then bite to get me to play. It happens at other times though, she’ll follow me up and down thee stairs grabbing at my feet, and I have to sit with them hidden under a blanket in the evenings to stop her getting to them.
I’ve tried everything I can think of, not reacting, yelping, putting her in the other room for a few minutes, distracting her with a toy, saying ‘no’ very firmly. None of it seems to make any difference!
I wondered if anyone has any advice on this at all? She’s a lovely pup but my feet are a mess!!
