And don't any of you pretend that your dog is the best because I know mine is!!

We all have covid and are in isolation and I wanted to give the dog a nice treat to keep him occupied whilst we're all stuck indoors.

Nice juicy stinky raw bone!

*but just so's you know my dogs are the best!!!😜

We give our best girls ostrich bones for longevity and clean teeth.

Chicken feet for crunching pleasure.

Pate (the cheap stuff) stuffed Kongs for hot days. Frozen if I remember.

Dried fish skin for when I'm not in the house (stinks).

Mine are clearly the best.

Or if you don't want something raw then stuffed cows hooves are also great.
I buy them empty from Amazon then stuff with pate/cheese/ham whatever I have basically. In the freezer for a bit to firm it up and then keeps them occupied for awhile!

DDog likes a nice dried ear

Or a pizzle (but they're quite rich, so only occasionally - maybe a twist of dried bladder instead)

Beef bark is ace if you have a good chewer. Lasts ages.
We have the best dog, obvs, and she gets a buffalo ear or a cow snout once a week. We also give her dried fish skin twists too but like the PP said they totally reek. I have a bag of dried sprats too and she gets a few every day. Or they get stuffed into a kong with various bits. Or mushed onto a licki mat.
Hmm. I have a spoilt dog don't I? In my defence, she had a rubbish start to life so once she was adopted by us I felt it was my duty to treat her.
I hope you all feel better soon.

Ostrich bones. Great for their teeth too.

Xipup absolutely loves pizzle sticks

tizwozliz · 20/10/2021 18:49

Another vote for an ostrich bone if you want something long lasting

Sheldock · 20/10/2021 19:01

Mine loves a yak chew...especially if it's been microwaved so it turns into 'honeycomb'
He also liked a Kong stuffed with grated cheese and carrot.

harriethoyle · 20/10/2021 19:52

Cat poo as far as mine are concerned 😂🙈 disgusting little beasts!!

cheeseisthebest · 20/10/2021 20:45

What's the best non smelly treat? Mine loves his ostrich bone but husband said it stinks! I have a terrible sense of smell so can't smell it!

Floralnomad · 20/10/2021 20:48

Skippers do a very good range of fish sticks , fish twists and dried fish skins . They absolutely stink but our dog loves them , particularly the salmon skin flatties and the wolf fish twists . They have the added bonus of being very good for their teeth .
