How to entertain a greyhound?

I am babysitting a greyhound for a few weeks, he is lovely!
His owner told me he doesn't have toys because aside from a few walks he will just sleep all day.
He does sleep a lot, but sometimes he's awake just sitting and seems bored.
How should I entertain him? I feel that I should provide a bit of brain stimulation.

Nah no need just give him more space on the sofa - he will love you for that

They don't have brains to stimulate Grin

Can he catch a treat? Our pointy hounds love doing that!!

Provide soft spaces to sleep on.
That’s all. Grin

I've spent a small mortgage payment on toys for our newly resident greyhound. They turned out to be very expensive peanut butter dispensers. Grin

Ok, so I'm doing alright then because I have a very long sofa and I'm currently squashed at one end while he is stretched out (upside down) over most of it Grin
No toys needed then! He does have a bag of treats so perhaps I'll throw them around instead of giving and see if he'll chase them.

He probably won't need entertaining like his owner said, laziest dogs in the world Grin I've had 3 greyhounds and only 1 played with toys and that itself was very rare! I'd recommend when he looks bored lots of cuddles and loves, enjoy your time with him best dogs ever Smile I'm jealous!!
