Poorly JRT

My lovely 13yo JRT has diabetes, diagnosed 9 months ago and have always struggled with vet to get it under control but we eventually managed and he has been stable for a number of months.

Over the last few weeks he seems to have lost a lot of his eyesight, can't see treats in front of him, walking into doors etc. He also has a wound from a bite on his side that just won't heal (2 weeks now).

I'm taking him to the vets this evening for a review but I am just so sad that it's coming to the end for him.

Can anyone offer some reassurance, I feel so upset as he really has been such a lovely boy.

I have no advice but I'm so sorry your boy is poorly Flowers

Thanks @icedcoffees we have a short term plan from our lovely vet so fingers crossed he will get through this part. He's just snoozing next to me, dogs are so warm! (And smelly!)
