Hi have just adopted a jack Russel cross 3 years old. How much does everyone else feed jack russels? Grin

Jack Russells vary in size. If under 10kg they count as small dogs if over 10kg they count as medium dogs.
If using dry food the pet feeding guide should give a rough idea.
Ours JRCross is fed twice a day with 1 scoop each meal dried food (approx 100g per scoop) and half a container of Caesar type dog meat.

My JRT was 8.8kg last year and that was too much for his joints. I slimmed him down to 7.7 kg. He eats no more than 120 g of dry food a day now and I give it to him once a day, after the evening walk.

It’ll depend on the size of dog and the food you’re using... for most dogs the recommended amount on the bag is too much though.

Mine has double what it says on the pack, we had to up it as he was so skinny and we could start seeing ribs… I think they expend a lot of energy!!
