Move puppy into our room?

Pup has slept downstairs in the livingroom since she came home on Friday but she doesn’t like her crate so ends up sleeping on the floor. She’s started waking me a lot during the night just sat at the bottom of the stairs barking. I bring her to bed at 4/5/6 and she falls asleep at the bottom
Of our bed straight away and we don’t hear a peep until 7.

Do I move her upstairs into our room? Do I bring her bed ip for the floor in our room? Or in our bed? 🙈🙈

We started with pup in his crate and DH sleeping next to him on the sofa for the first week or so. Not a problem as he needed taking out for a wee in those early stages. He then moved the crate further away bit by bit until it was in the room he now sleeps in and DH could move back up to to bed.

There was a regression a few months later and this time the crate stayed where it was and DH set up on an airbed that he moved further away over a few nights until pup settled again.

Dog is now 14 months old and happily sleeps in his crate every night.

Our dog sleeps in our bed and will happily snooze until 10-11am. I vote taking pup in for an easy life and lie ins Grin

we moved ours to the bed for first couple of months , then into crate in our room then crate out the room. that seemed to stop any distress.

Ours has slept in our bed since day one.

He's nearly four now and he'll sleep until 9/10am at weekends if he's given the chance Grin

If you're happy to have him in your room, go for it! We also never had a single night-time accident as he was able to wake us and we could get him outside within a minute or two at most.

Once dh woke dpuppy up when he got up (Angry) he put her on our bed... She curled up at the bottom til whenever I got up.
She is coming up 2 and still loves a nap in the bed if I am busy upstairs! Whatever gets you all some sleep imo op.!!

I'm with @XelaM and @icedcoffees - whatever gets you the most sleep. Our puppy (now 9 months) has been in the bedroom with us from day 1 and sleeps brilliantly at night. Now he's older he spends all night on the floor in our room and only gets on the bed when the alarm goes off in the morning.
