Why does my dog stink

My four year old spayed JRT last had a bath just over a week ago but she stinks of feet!! Her bedding is clean, she hasn’t rolled in anything and is kept well groomed although she always seems to stink like this. Been to the vet with her and she doesn’t have any skin conditions etc that could explain this and I don’t want to bathe her too often in case I dry her skin out. Anyone have experience of this or have any tips to keep her bad odour at bay?

My friend’s JR had this, and developed an unpleasant smelling greasy strip down her back. Nothing the vet recommended worked so regular baths were necessary.

Could it be her diet? Allergies can make them smell a bit funny.

They often get a yeasty smell if they have diet issues, try a good hypoallergenic diet and bathe with hibiscus to get rid of any fungus that's lurking.

I would look at diet and the food your feeding him on. If you look at it this way. If you ate garlic you would smell. The same goes as a dog. Whatever your feeding him is probably making him smell. Usually it's the fats that can do it in the food.

Our dog smells now she’s on kibble which isn’t as good for her as the fresh food I used to get her but she went off it. She used to look so much healthier and shiny and definitely smells now even though still only two and it’s been a year since diet changed.
