Sleep deprivation. I can't cope.

It's not an option to have puppy in my bedroom.
Some nights he happily sleeps all night in his crate but there's been some nights where he just won't and I'm on very uncomfortable sofa with him on the floor. I'm so so tired, how can I consistently get him to sleep happily in his crate? He's 17 weeks and be with us for 7 weeks. He won't be in his crate with me next to him, just barks. Although sometimes he will! Sorry tiredness making me incoherent! I try comforting him when he's there but he's just sat up alert and barking.

Lots of exercise, training, playing, puzzle feeder, etc, lots of out and about including 2 school runs where he meets lots of people.

Could he be getting too much exercise and stimulation and be too over-hyped to sleep?

Is he getting at least 18-20 hours of sleep in each 24 hour period?

He's 17 weeks so doesn't need 18 to 20 hours sleep but I reckon he probably has about 16 hours.

She still needs about 18 hours sleep a day at that age.

Oh sorry I thought it was bit less by now. He does sleep a lot.

He slept all night! From 11 30 to 6 30. I managed to sneak up to my own bed at 2 and he didn't stir. Amazing.

Last night he slept all night. 10 till 7. Didn't hear a peep, didn't have to lie with him, slept in my own bed. Wow. Hope he keeps it up!
