Thankfully current girl empties my bank account on a regular basis so I can’t rescue all the lovely boys and girls I see. Yet.

Yes a whippet meets the criteria!! (But I can’t see the picture ) my neighbour has a lovely old whippet girl and I steal kisses when I walk past their garden.

Very good! I love the name Alfie, but we used to have one, so couldn’t use that name for Fred. He probably would have been Alfie otherwise, so you’re spot on.

I met two gorgeous and very different lurchers yesterday. First was a saluki cross - such an elegant girl who groaned like an old man. Then I was walking my greyhound and suddenly a big off lead dog came racing up to us. It was a staffy-grey cross who was uncannily like my girl in height and identical colouring but chunky and with a lovely staffy face. They were delighted to meet each other and I wished I'd taken a photo.
