And absolutely REEKS even after being washed off! I have a vague memory that tomato ketchup has enzymes in which removes the smell. Am I right or will I just end up with a pink and smelly spaniel?!

Oh yes antibacterial handwash came in really handy when my dog vomited in my car. Got rid of the smell really quickly.

Mine do that all the time. Bit of water, dog shampoo, hose pipe - sorted 🤷‍♀️

Tin of chopped tomatoes. One of my dogs is pure white I'd rather have him pink than stink .

Tomato pureé or ketchup rubbed in, left for a few minutes, shampoo out normally. Just do the affected area, not the whole dog.

Think I've heard a can of coke is good for getting the smell of fox poo out

Pets at Home do a shampoo called Fox Poo. It works! It’s in a black n yellow tube.

My spanner rolled on a dead fish, I tried white vinegar and then washing with fairy liquid but that didn’t work. But the Fox Poo shampoo did work!

Bought some today to have in, in case our dogs get the idea!

Must be the season for it, one of our labs did it this week. 🙄
Sometimes, if we haven't got ketchup or shampoo, lemon washing up liquid helps.

Our late lab-pointer cross once round and rolled in half a very dead, runny seal. She had to be washed twice, with dog shampoo and the hose in the garden, because she wasn’t fit to set paw in the house - and even then, she needed a final third wash upstairs - we had run out of dog shampoo, so ended up using some of the boys’ Lynx. But smelling of teenage boy was better than stinking of rotten seal!
