First holiday away with DDog; he is 18 months old.
As I type I am having to ignore his god awful whining because I won’t let him out for the 100th time. He doesn’t need to toilet, he has been on a lovely walk and should be ready to collapse in a nap by now .
He’s refusing to settle. We were supposed to be going to a small children’s event in the local pub across the road but because he won’t settle (barking and barking when left for 5 minutes); I’ve had to stay home and DH has taken the DC.
The DC who were desperate for a dog are pissed off I haven’t gone. I’ve explained we have to make sacrifices for our pets and they are old enough to understand but are still upset.
I’m fucked off that my one and only chance of sitting down to read my book is being hijacked by the dog whining and whining for some reason he only knows.
Are holidays like this normal with dogs? Are they usually so unsettled?
