Period pants for shiba – worth buying?

Should I bother trying to force a sweet, gentle 1-year-old shiba inu to wear pants/nappies during her first season? She hates wearing clothes, even a harness annoys her so we just use a light collar. I don't want to make her more uncomfortable if she's already suffering but I do value our carpets and there have been a few drops. Mostly she seems to be licking herself clean.
Thanks in advance for advice 🐕

Sounds to me like your gonna make what will be a difficult time for her even more uncomfortable if she hates clothes and harnesses that much

Will you be getting her spayed ? If this is to be her one season only I wouldnt bother.

My pup has just finished her first season.

We tried the period pants but she absolutely hated them and was hiding under a table all day looking really sad so we took them off.

It meant she couldn't sleep in our room for a few weeks and we kept her to non-carpeted areas of the house (thankfully our kitchen/conservatory is quite big).

Thanks all, appreciate your views, which are in line with my conclusion to just let her be.... as long as the bleeding doesn't get worse, we can live with it.

Have you got any old sheets/duvet covers/towels you can layover the carpets to protect them? Doesn't look great obviously but it does helps keep your carpets clean.

We've been in the fence about getting her spayed but probably will now bc we don't want to put her through this repeatedly & I couldn't bear to have puppies and not keep them all
