Orthopedic beds, worth it?

We got a 13yr old lab boy who is feeling his age and has arthritis. He used to love curling up but now spreads out more.

Bigger bed required, just did some online searching and the Big barker seems to be the one but is it worth £280?

Any suggestions or ideas? We live him dearly but I tend to go over the topGrin

CAM equipment reviews maybe useful for doing a search on beds.

The sister group Holly's army is for owner support, discussing treatments etc. www.facebook.com/groups/2161091580843717/

I can't answer as my dog spends most of her time on the sofa or my bed. The Petfusion orthopaedic bed seems a popular choice on Holly's army perhaps as bit more affordable.

Thank you, lots of helpful info on there. Like the idea of a toddler memory foam mattress instead of splashing out on similar shape.

The Dogs Bed are nice memory foam and washable cover etc, available on Amazon. The worse my dogs arthritis got though the less keen he was to sleep on a firm bed, and always chose his trusty wolfybed- lovely beds.
