Dog peeing on bed - help!

Our 7.5yr old French Bulldog has started peeing in his bed at night/when left on his own.

He’s traditionally been very well toilet trained but we started to notice a problem a couple of weeks ago when the warm weather hit. He was drinking a lot of water at night so we thought it might be that and so started walking him late at night just before bed - but he was still doing it.

He’s usually on his own from 11pm to about 6am so not an horrendous amount of time.

We decided to film him and see whether it was a conscious thing. It seems to happen when he’s trying to “sort” his bed (scratch at the blanket etc) so is getting worked up and potentially anxious.

Just not sure what to do to tackle it! Anyone had a similar experience?

Would be worth checking with a vet initially to see if the problem is medical.
'Vet bed', available from good pet shops, would allow the urine to soak down so he's not sleeping in a wet patch, and it washes and dries quickly.

I would check with your vet. It is a major change in his behaviour. It might be diabetes mellitus, characterised by greatly increased drinking and the resulting peeing.

Agree vet check as clearly a change in behaviour.

He needs to see a vet.
