Looking for advice/opinions.
I have a large female collie mix. She became incontinent at the age of 2. It has been a couple years now and we can only keep the leaking under control with 3x a day proin and weekly diethylstilbestrol. Even at that there is still leakage.
We don't know how old she was when spayed because we adopted her at 1. Not sure if that caused the problem.
I am facing a dilemma as the vet is suggesting an ultrasound to look for physical problems but isn't really explaining what they could be or what operations would ensue and how successful they would be. (Because the vets are still only doing over the phone consultations and picking up the dogs from the parking lot in the clinic we go to.)
I can't decide what to do without having more information.
Has anyone else had this problem with a dog so young and found an operation to resolve it?
