Pup didn't go in middle of night

I'm pup sitting and this is the third night. Every other night at 4am I've left him out and he's gone for a wee immediately.nothing tonight and I was down before 4 as I woke so waited 20 mins.. He had plenty of water yesterday but it is very warm. He cried a bit when I left so I tried again, no go. What should I do now? Try again at 5? Or just sleep now and see? Thanks to anyone who's up!!

Encourage him to drink and see if he whines for the loo in an hour or so. It sounds like he's quite well trained so he should wake you.

Must be the sun as my wee one didnt wake up either! Very pleased as hes only 10 weeks and the 2 and 4am wakings were getting a bit much! He will cry when he wants let out.

He whined at 4.30 or so He's a great boy, only 12 weeks. Nipping a bit at the dc in the morning tho.
