Rehoming puppy

Further to my post on the weekend, I’ve been trying to rectify what I feel is the biggest mistake of my life.
My puppy is ten weeks. How do I go about rehoming? The breeder (hobby breeder) wasn’t helpful.
And yes. I know I’m a bad person.

Yes, please rehome via a reputable rehoming organisation. The internet isn't the place for arranging such things.

Agree with making sure you do it through a reputable rescue rather than online. A good rescue will have absolutely no bother rehiring a ten week old puppy - the only difficulty will be deciding where to send him. There is always a huge queue of people waiting for rescue puppies, they will have their pick of suitable homes for him.

Please please don't rehome to someone on the internet.

If you care about your puppy, please contact a rescue. If you PM me your general location and/or your puppy breed, I will send you a list of rescues

Contact Dogs Trust - they pledge never to put a healthy dog to sleep. If your pup is a poodle mix they'll be flooded with applications and will be able to make sure they find exactly the right home.

You're doing the responsible thing by recognising that you can't cope with the dog, and doing what's right for him.

@Franks55 where are you based (roughly) we can help find a reputable rehome association nearby.

It's ok OP. You're doing the right thing. This will pass. Look after yourself

I’m sorry you’re struggling with your anxiety but 9-10 weeks really is the hardest time. Our puppy is 16 weeks now and he’s settled down so much, he’s a world away from there he was a few weeks ago. We love him so much now it’s crazy!

You’ll know yourself best but if you can stick it out for a few more weeks you may feel very differently.
