Squeaky ball that doesn't die (within a day)?

I have a JRT mix who loves nothing more than "killing" a squeaky ball. Only he is far too proficient at this and squeaky balls become just balls by the end of their first day's outing (the one that prompted me to write this lasted less than five minutes and cost £8.99). I can't resist buying them for him as they make him so so happy but it is not sustainable (financially or environmentally!)

So does anybody please know of some miracle squeaky ball brand that can hold its own against a ten month old terrier terror?

(Those blue and orange Chuck It ones that everyone has last two days maximum)

If you have a dog who is dead set on getting the squeak out, I'm not sure there is one. Balls have to be squishy enough to squeak but that very squishiness makes them vulnerable to terriers.

I say this as a veteran of 6 years of terrier ownership. We have sacrificed the squeak here!

I find yellow Kong tennis balls last pretty well, they also do a good range of sizes. However, my dog is just a very enthusiastic (and irritating) squeaker, and doesn’t actively try to eviscerate them!

We've had great success with ones from Asda webbox. Cheap as chips and last for ever. Others are gone in like 3 seconds. Our munchy terrier (jrt x border) got one as a Christmas present and until we lost it in May was still intact. He's had his new one about 6 weeks now and it's perfect. Much better than the £18 I spent on an indestructible squeaky toy. Which turned out to be easily destroyed.

Thanks all - I have tried the Kong ones and they don't last more than an hour or two. I actually have six dead ones in the dog toy grave yard cupboard. Will definitely be seeking out some of the Asda ones to test those out though!

I've been really surprised by the lack of squeak resilience in a £5 ball. I feel like my dDog must have a really abnormally efficient killing technique as this doesn't seem to be that common a problem (I have bored a lot of fellow dog owners with this gripe). Maybe I should just start hiring him out as a ratter and let nature run its course...

We've found the chuckit ones pretty indestructible.

We have a jrt x and can confirm there is no ball up to the job!. I find the extra tough Kong cone shaped to be the best (although he did get the top bit off, the rest has held up for months). I sometimes put a treat in it like yoghurt or peanut butter and he chews on that. The treat makes up for the lack of squeak Smile

The chuck it squeaky balls tend to last longer for my destroyer, and the scooby doo ones from B&M also are really good!

Another vote for Scooby balls. I won't say it will survive but it does better than most.
