something for dog to lick while I groom him

He likes me to brush him in the main, apart from when I need to use the dematting brush. I do it gently but I think, on occasion, it might have been painful for him () and so now he dislikes even the thought of it.

So I'm thinking of hanging / tying up something for him to lick or nibble at while I do those tricky bits.

Any ideas gratefully received.

My dog groomer uses tubes of Primula cheese

Licky mat and put on it whatever is his favourite. Banana, soft cheese, JR dog pate, peanut butter without sweetner

licky mat some have stickers on the back so you can fix them to the floor or a wall

thanks for the ideas. I've even got those licky mats already. Why didn't i think of those?
