Hoping to get to Ireland later in the year. My local vets are usually expensive - should the price of this vary?

Don't know re prices, but size of dog makes no difference...

EU pet passports are no longer valid, are they? You need to get a rabies booster 21-30 days before travel and a pet health certificate from your vet 10 days before travel. The health certificate is only valid for the outgoing journey for 10 days and from the return journey for 4 months

Too funny!!! No idea why I specified the size.

@XelaM - thanks - hope this is cheaper than the £300 + spent last time....

So does this mean I need to get another pet health certificate in Ireland to get me back into UK as will be there longer than 10 days ?

I think the new pet health certificate is valid for 4 months. As we laughed as the dog could stop longer in the EU than we could.

You have to get it 10 days before you OUTWARDS journey (i.e. to Ireland) but once there it's valid for 4 months for your return to the UK journey
