I met a puppy like this last night - how is that even possible?!

Spooning sex?

thenightsky · 26/06/2021 23:17

What did the pup look like? I'm finding it difficult to imagine too.

PlatinumBrunette · 26/06/2021 23:17

One would need a box, or a stepladder!

HirplesWithHaggis · 26/06/2021 23:18

I'm hoping the Dobie was the mum.

OffRampHilton · 26/06/2021 23:18

I am really hoping that the Chihuahua was the father and not the mother Shock

GeidiPrimes · 26/06/2021 23:19

There is miniature doberman breed. I really hope the breeders didn't cross a full size one with a chihuahua. Surely only possible by putting the dams life in danger.

I don't know, but my v v tiny Jack Russell bitch tried to entice next doors Dalmatian (enormous) on to our allotment yesterday. She will be spayed asap

At the moment, she's humping anything that stays still long enough.

Faranth · 26/06/2021 23:25

I once knew someone with a Jack Russell X Greyhound!

They said that it was good that the mother was the larger dog, as the other way round the puppies would have been too big for the mother - presumably that's even more the case with a Doberman x chihuahua?! Perhaps he stood on a chair?!?!

FeatheredHope · 26/06/2021 23:27

You sure it was a dobe x chi and not a miniature pinscher?

NoSquirrels · 26/06/2021 23:29

Are you sure it wasn’t a Miniature Pinscher?

Doberman x chihuahua
Ladylokidoki · 26/06/2021 23:31

I am guessing it was a mini pinscher.

I think someone is pulling your leg.

On a dog grouo the other week, someone had got a dog off their uncle who had convince him cocker spaniels are born without their tails, so they don't make noise when they are stalking and taking down prey. Hmm

Some people do like to wind people up.

😂 it did look like that.... maybe it was a miniature pincher X with chihuahua?!

I’ve seen larger bitches lie down and put their tails aside to allow smaller dogs... erm... access. Our boarding Border Collie was trying that 2 weeks ago with our resident JR.

Honestly, I wouldn’t put anything past them 😂

Surely a Min Pin x Chihuahua would be much more desirable pup wise though?

cupsofcoffee · 27/06/2021 12:01

It'll be a Miniature Pinscher :)

30degreesandmeltinghere · 27/06/2021 12:03

A true instance of is it in yet??
Grin

Soubriquet · 27/06/2021 12:05

You have miniature pinchers and Russian toy terriers. I would guess they would be one of those

Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of cases of big dogs being bred by little dogs

Soubriquet · 27/06/2021 12:07

Two examples of a Russian toy terrier

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 27/06/2021 12:11

Presumably a joke and the dog was a min-pin

However, these big/little hybrids come about by insemination and the bigger dog is the female. Doing it any other way is dangerous madness but does happen, lots of unscrupulous dicks breeding massive headed puppies out of tiny little bitches and charging £££££ on Pets4, FB and scumtree for a ‘designer’ cross.

FeatheredHope · 27/06/2021 14:50

To the uninitiated a Miniature Pinscher looks like a chihuahua with Doberman colouring.

pigsDOfly · 27/06/2021 15:39

A Doberman/Chihuahua cross does sound like a joke but who knows, there's definitely a Pomeranian/Siberian Huskie cross known as a Pomsky.

I hate these crosses, it's so irresponsible and clearly just a money making game.

All the time there are people who don't give a damn about the puppy's health but are willing to pay stupid money for a cute puppy there will be people willing to go to extremes to breed the next sellable 'product'.

PermanentlyDizzy · 27/06/2021 17:06

Either a Min Pin or English Toy Terrier would be my guess. It’s really common to be asked if ETT’s are Doberman puppies, so I can imagine some might eventually start to joke that they are Dobie x Chi’s.

A lot of the time I think they think, “Which 2 breeds can we put together to make a cure new name?” And just go with that.
TheFnozwhowasmirage · 27/06/2021 19:10

Years ago,a neighbours Jack Russell bitch appeared on our farmyard. My dad caught our border collie in the act.
The pups were like very long legged JRs and we had one of the litter,he was a great dog.

pigsDOfly · 27/06/2021 20:20

LadyCatStark

Yes, it does rather seem like that.

It's certainly about what will bring in the customers and therefore the ££££ regardless of whether it's a good idea in terms of animal welfare, which it frequently isn't.

joystir59 · 27/06/2021 20:23

That isn't possible.
