My mum is looking to get two puppies from a litter after her dog died recently. Would you have any advice on whether it makes any difference if you get two boys, two girls or one of each?

Haha, the mental image of two Saint puppies at once - just no!Shock

Even smaller breeds would be a terrible idea. Think of the training.

OP, the doghouse can be fairly cantankerous and threads often deteriorate rapidly into disagreement.

This one is virtually unanimous. This should tell you something.

Just wanted to pop back and thank you for the advice. She's going to get just the one puppy. We had never heard of this before so the advice was very helpful.

We have 2 females from.same litter and dispute being advised not to we have had absolutely no problems with them at all. They are both attached to us as well as each other. They are company for each other if we have to pop to shops. They were so upset easy to house train too reliably clean by 18 weeks. I would recommend 2 females from same litter.
