So we have finally managed to find a dog in a rescue after looking for a few years. (We cant afford a puppy not at the current prices)

We went to see another dog in the same rescue earlier this week but felt that we were stressing him out too much and he didnt take to us at all. I said to the lady showing us the first dog do you have any others that would suit us?
She bought out this pup (i say pup hes 5) and oh my word he is beautiful. I fell in love immediately.
We reserved him that day.
We went home and researched the breed more thoroughly and he will very much fit in our house. His breed is described as cat like, very independant if a little stubborn.

So now we need to wait for the home visit and then if we pass he is ours.
I think we are gonna be a great fit for him, no children, big house, wfh, live on the edge of a massove park, lots of experience with training dogs, got lots of time.
The only thing that may go against us is that we are veerry overweight. But my plan is to walk him 3 times minimum a day for 20 minutes and build it up until i can get 30 to 40 mins easily.

So now its the long wait. We have visited him twice already and intend to try and go as much as possible.
Im trying not to get my hopes up too much and start buying bedding and toys and chews etc.

Its going to be a long couple of weeks...

Fingers crossed for you. You sound like a great fit for him.
