Dog walking bag

Now there's actually some sunshine and maybe even possible to ditch a coat I need to think about what to do with no pockets. What bags do people have? Something to fit on poo bags, easy access to those and training treats, a ball and my phone and keys. Obviously any old bag will do but something that looks half decent for those days where you are going for a pub walk etc so a bit more dressed up would be nice.

I have something like this. I got it half price in a sale at a local garden centre, amongst all the Weird Fish and Joules clothing.
It has about 5 different compartments which all zip, and takes ball, bags, keys , iPhone, hand sanitiser, some emergency cash and dog snacks.

cocoloco987 · 30/05/2021 15:37

@Quickchangeartiste oh I like that a lot thanks. Different to all the normal ones I've seen and not liked and colour choices too!

I've a Kipling cross body bag enough pockets fir keys, phone, bags, treats, plus anything else I lob in!

EeeByeGummieBear · 30/05/2021 15:44

I got a lovely one from the Dandy Dog Company, from from Not on the high street website. It's big enough for treats, poo bags, a tennis ball, plus keys. Comes in several different colours. There are also some lovely ones on Etsy, which are smaller, and can't fit a ball in.

Roodog · 30/05/2021 15:49

I have a cheap, small, black, nylon bag that I picked up on Amazon, use daily, zips for treats, poo bags etc. Usually wear it cross body but can adjust it to go round my waist a la bum bag if I feel inclined. Can chuck it in bigger rucksack if I'm doing that sort of day out.

Colourmylife1 · 30/05/2021 16:09

I have the Dandy Dog Company one too. Really practical and looks good too

Nightbear · 30/05/2021 16:16

Another one here with a Kipling bag for dog walking.

SimonJT · 30/05/2021 16:17

I have a little one from ruffwear treat trader bag, its small but big enough for treats, poo bags and keys.

cocoloco987 · 30/05/2021 16:23

I've looked at the Kipling bags but there is so much variety and it's hard to know which sizes are suitable. What do people have? Liking the dandy dog ones too - thanks! Unfortunately the navy is out of stock which I'd probably have picked for going with lots of things

A camera bag worked well for us. Dh didn’t feel stupid carrying - bonus. Plenty of zipped compartment to keep things separate.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 30/05/2021 16:25

Kipling bags are perfect for dog walking.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 30/05/2021 16:28

Look at abanu or creativity for kipling. I only have the mini size but it is a great crossbody bag, and i can fit everything in.

OhHarry · 30/05/2021 16:31

Etsy do quite a number of dog walking bags.

cocoloco987 · 30/05/2021 16:32

@WowIlikereallyhateyou the mini had loads of lovely patterns but wasn't sure if it would be big enough so that's good to know. Also ddog is little so we use the smaller balls rather than regular tennis size!

I use a bum bag.

KingPong · 30/05/2021 16:56

I have a Radley/Dogs Trust bum bag but I wear it across my body as it’s more comfortable.

Ylvamoon · 30/05/2021 18:55

I have one of thouse bum bags that is designed for joggers. It has a water bottle holder that is perfect for treats.
Phone compartment also fits poo bags & it has a separate zipped key pocket.

stevalnamechanger · 30/05/2021 19:02

Rains cross body bum bag

Lowlight282 · 30/05/2021 21:03

I bought a pre-loved fat face bag off vinted. Perfect for dog walks, big enough for all the essentials, light weight and it wipes clean. Cheap as chips.

Slimmingstar · 30/05/2021 21:10

I have a dog walking bag from amazon, but it’s certainly not a ‘nice’ bag you’d use for the pub. The lining is ripped, the strap is fixed with a bit of string and it’s full of old mouldy treats. It is very handy, though.

QueenOfToast · 31/05/2021 09:06

I love this brand www.ridgebag.co.uk/ I have a bumbag version and it's the perfect size for everyday dog walks.

I particularly love the (odour containing) pocket for carrying a used poo bag until you get back home.

Dilbertian · 31/05/2021 09:24

Have a look at www.thehealthybackbag.co.uk.

They are the only cross-body bag I have that stays put and doesn't swing round to flap in front of me when I bend down. I have a medium bag and a small baglet. The small baglet clips inside the peak of the main bag, which is very convenient for things you want to transfer from one bag to another.

Had one of these for years - www.dickybag.com/
