My CKCS has had an anal gland abscess - in antibiotics and metacam for a week and another 5 days antibiotic to go.
Apart from hating the vet in a heart pounding shaking way he’s been fine.
Tolerating his cone of shame - we take it off for walks etc.
Past couple of days he’s had really sticky eyes - just really snotty. Not red or sore looking. I’ve just cleaned them as usual.
Don’t really want to take him back to the vet again as I’m really not worried but obviously don’t want to miss anything.
Is this likely to be cos he can’t groom himself or done other effect of the cone ? Dry eye don’t seem to go with the antibiotic ( clindamycin ).
Or am I being daft snd I should get him seen before bank holiday ?
