Moving crate

Puppy has been with us for a week and a half. Crate is on the landing outside our room but I'd like to move it to the bottom of the stairs. Any tips? Should I wait or bite the bullet and move it and expect some whimpering?

I would put it at the bottom of the stairs in the daytime and reward every time the puppy goes into it. If he is happy in it for a while with the door open in the day time then it may be worth trying at nighttime.

A week and a half is not long though so I would probably wait a bit. No dont let him whimper it will make it longer to sort out.

Thanks. It's a pita to heave up and down the stairs but that's probably a good idea!
