Where would I go about getting a genuine staff puppy from?

Obviously, I want to make sure I get one from somewhere reputable.

Would love to rescue but with two cats and a toddler, it really isn't doable so a puppy seems my only option but have only ever rescued in the past so no idea where to start looking.

Do you definitely want a puppy + toddler? It's like having two toddlers but one with much sharper teeth and claws. There's a very good reason rescues are wary about rehoming with pre-school children. Puppies are honestly little furry nightmares.

Right now finding a reputable breeder is an absolute hellscape nightmare filled with scams, stolen dogs and very poorly bred dogs. If you managed to find a Kennel Club Assured breeder who hasn't had to close their wait list because of demand, you may still need to wait about a year for a pup to be available.

Be extremely wary of anyone who has puppies just available for sale, when you consider the good breeders have full up waiting lists.
