Puppy ate card

I assume this amount of card eaten by a 5kg mini dachshund will be fine?!

Absolute bundle of nerves after just returning from his overnight stay at the vets for eating chewing gum on a walk yesterday.

I can't ring them again so soon 🙈

Pass the gin. I even crated him for the school run to ensure no more drama but DH was on a work call and let him out and this just happens to fall off of the kitchen wall. FML!

Unless there was blu-tak or similar on the back which has also been eaten, I would think your Ddog will be fine. Might be strange 💩 for a day or two...

SippingSipsmith · 18/05/2021 16:15

There was blu tac but only a tiny bit and he seems to have avoided that area I think.

He's already had a charcoal poo today after the vets 😣.

Does anyone use a doggy daycare? I’m considering putting my 6 month old puppy in one day a week, to give him and me a break. However I’m concerned about it! How do I now they won’t just leave him in a kennel for most of the day! She said they rotate 2 hours in and 2 hours out more or less depending on the day. They were all in a kennel when I looked around and I felt sorry for a few of them! Could I potentially be causing separation anxiety by throwing him into this bewildering environment? I was looking forward to him starting and now I’m not sure! ☹️

Find a daycare where they're in someone's home, not a commercial premises. I wouldn't send my dog anywhere that used kennels.

@SippingSipsmith I sympathise. Just home from vet as Snooppup ate a sharp bit of plastic. Mayonnaise bottle fell out of fridge door and lid smashed. I was too slow to get it all picked up! Today’s trip much cheaper than last months when he ate a big bit of plastic bag on his walk. That was out of hours visit 🙈 £££ .

pigsDOfly · 18/05/2021 17:15

If it's just the card OP, then I wouldn't imagine it's going to cause any harm.

SnoopDogisamenace · 18/05/2021 17:17

@SippingSipsmith and meant to say the card should be fine. Easy enough to break down and pass.

SippingSipsmith · 18/05/2021 17:54

@SnoopDogisamenace thanks for the sympathy. Good to know it's not just ours. It's so stressful!

he'll be fine star pup loves carboard and paper and egg boxes are his absolute bestest most favouritest snack ever in the whole world except maybe underpants

Motorina · 18/05/2021 19:50

Nahhh, he'll be fine. I routinely look at my dogs' poos and wonder, "What did I used to have that was blue?"

Unless you're writing in poison pen, a bit of card will be fine. Might improve his spelling.

Chunkymenrock · 18/05/2021 20:02

I've already posted on your other thread. Hmm why the new post op?

SippingSipsmith · 18/05/2021 20:06

I posted in pets and then remembered the dogs house board was probably better for all things canine. Annoying there's not just a delete post button.
