Clean floor

Since we brought our pup home 7 months ago, our floor has never looked clean since! We have laminate all the way through and no matter how many times I thoroughly sweep/hoover up, there's always a tumbleweed of hair that bobs along the floor.

As for actually cleaning the floor, what do you do?! We've tried a standard mop, a spray mop and using floor wipes but it still never looks clean.

Any ideas?! Grin

Luckily we have a non shedding dog. We have laminate and I vacuum and steam mop once a day just to remove paw prints. Steam mop is quick and dries almost instantly.

Presumably you have Turtle mats or similar by the outside doors?

I have the same problem! Got a cordless shark hoover which helps a lot, I used that several times a day and mop at night too. It looks great until the dog walks across the floor!

Doormats, shark vac and a lowering of standards worked well for us. 🤣

Wipe paws before they're allowed in the house. Absorbent mats by the doors.

I vacuum at least once a day, sweep the floors twice a day and steam mop several times a week.

I groom my dog every morning so there is less loose hair going round, I also vacuum at least once a day, often two or three!
I very rarely mop.

We just live in relative squalor, with a sweep every few days and a wash about once a week.

They are mostly confined to the kitchen and the conservatory, though. They are never allowed muddy onto the carpets. That part of the house looks okay.
