Dog buggy/pram

My dog has a CCL injury and is scheduled for surgery in mid-June (earliest appointment available).

I was considering getting a dog buggy so she can still get out and about both pre and post operation.

Does anyone have any experience of using one of these? Do they come with some sort of harness or attachment like in a baby buggy? I'd be worried about her falling out. Any recommendations gratefully received.

DDog is 5 and I wouldn't be taking her far in it, just around the nearby streets.

Thank you 😊

We used a doggyhut buggy.

You will need to spend quite a bit of time getting them used to it before surgery. So that your dog will be happy to sit in it and then happy to sit in it when it moves.

Also be ready for lots of staring - (remembers a very traumatic afternoon spent in St Ives with loads of people standing back and just looking at us)

Thank you, I thought if I got one ASAP I could start using it straightaway, firstly to get her used to it and secondly, she's used to being out and about and will hate being stuck in the house/garden.

I'm not bothered about being stared at, I'm a carer for a wheelchair user so pretty used to people staring at us. I'll only be staying very local anyway.

I hope the op goes well

Its rubbish the people staring! Sorry you have to deal with this frequently.

@PollyRoulson Thankfully my relative doesn't realise it's happening and I couldn't care less. Thank you again for your recommendation, I'm away to have a look now 😊
