My 7 year old retired racer, adopted at Xmas, has just been diagnosed by vet as having early stage kidney disease.
Took a urine specimen to vet as DDog was weeing and drinking a lot, and it was tested for sugar and protein: when protein was found, he had bloods done, and this showed kidney disease.
DDog has to have a renal diet.
Anyone any experience of this: diet, disease progression and prognosis?
