dog limping and rest

Took 15 month old cockerpoo to the vets as we'd notice over 2 or 3 days that she was skipping intermittently on her back leg. Not consistently.

She goes on a long energetic off load walk every day and also a couple of shorter sniffy lead walks.

Vet advised to let her rest for a week - and then short on lead walks for a week.

That about 5 days ago...she's been quieter than usual - not pestering for walks - but still wants a play. She has been out for a couple of very short sniffy walks - the garden isn't accessible at the moment so we have to take her on the street to toilet and she's been having a sniff.

No sign of a limp.

Any experience or thoughts?

I’m not a vet but our dog has bilateral luxating patellas and he does the skipping thing occasionally . He was diagnosed at 2/3 and is nearly 11 , we opted not to go for surgery as they don’t seem to bother him and he is terrible at healing wounds .

Could it be legge perthes? It's a poodle ailment. Not a good diagnosis but might equally be a ligament problem or muscle strain.

I'd keep her rested as much as you can per vet advice. Dogs are very bad at stopping because it hurts and will carry on and set a half-healed injury off again.

It could be all sorts of things, including cruciate issues or just a strain.
