41 gun salute and noise sensitive dogs

For anyone with a noise sensitive dog, I've just seen a post on another dog forum saying there is going to be a 41 gun salute for Prince Philip today from 12-12.40.

It's supposed to be all round the country but how much impact it will have on you and your dog depends where you live I suppose.

It’s only at the large royal residences. I don’t think it’ll impact on most dogs.

HMNB Portsmouth, HMNB Plymouth, naval ships at sea, the base in Gibraltar, plus Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff (at the castles), Tower of London and Woolwich Barracks.

I'd imagine most people know if they'll be affected, as these are the same places as for Rememberance Day, jubilees etc.

Ah okay. The person posting it did mention an area that was likely to be affected but thankfully something that most dogs won't hear.

Some of those locations are right next to popular dog walking parks too!

We'll likely hear our local one but thankfully DDog isn't noise sensitive

If your dog is noise sensitive then keep your dog in and turn up the TV.
