Sore tail

I hope you can help my 7 Yr old lab has a poorly tail. At first we thought it was limp tail as she has suffered from it before, we took her to the vets who prescribed her anti biotics and a quiet life until it was sorted. Anyway 2 weeks in and she's not better. We will be taking her to the vets Tuesday probably for an xray. But I wondered if you had any thoughts. Essentially it seems a bit swollen from half way down to the tip (ie not down to the base) thank you

One of my dogs had something like that but only on a small section of his tail . it tuned out to be a burst blood vessel.
But I guess that is something you vet would of realised fairly easily,

Is it possible that it has been caused by a bite or sting from a bug ?
