We got our beautiful boxer pup in December , due to Covid my hubbie was going to be working from home three days a week and I would be at home two days so we had looking after the dog covered

BUT

My hubbie took a new job and working from home will now be unlikely

For other dog owners who work do you put your dog in day care / use a dog walker then leave in the house ?

Any recommendations would be great

Have always used daycare.

We use daycare, mine is a little older than yours and I wouldn't leave her alone all day with just a walker coming in. She'd be bored and lonely, and would probably cause havoc. But some people do get away with dog walkers. You know your dog. Can he be left for hours at a time? I'd be surprised if a dog walker was the best thing for a puppy though. I can't recommend daycare enough but choose carefully. Ours is in someone's home and they don't take a lot of dogs.

It’d have to be daycare at that age.

Yep. Daycare. Just think it’s a nicer life for them to be honest if you get a good one.

Daycare

Regardless, you should be teaching the puppy to be ok being left - starting with very short periods of time left alone (30 seconds stood outside your front door wearing your coat and carrying a handbag!) and working up from there
