Do I need to buy a sofa bed?

Bringing golden retriever puppy home this year and we are going to get a crate and a dog bed/mat for in there but do we actually need one for the house too? And if so, what sort? Preferably one that they won’t hump 😂

Where is the crate ? If it’s in the kitchen it’s a bit unfair to expect the dog to be in the kitchen on its own all the time.
If you don’t want it on the couch get a comfy, sheepskin lined one for the lounge.

It depends where you want them to sleep.

We got one when ours was a puppy but he ate it now he just sleeps on the sofa during the day, and on our bed at night.

If you don't want them on the furniture, you'll need to get a separate bed or two for different rooms in the house. However, they'll probably need replacing several times before adulthood!

The crate will be in the living room. I don’t mind them
Sleeping on the sofa and then they will probably end up on our bed at night 🙈
