Has anyone had a dog with parathyroid issues? We are waiting for CT scan results for our 3 year old cockapoo, but the vet has suggested that she thinks it is likely to be his parathyroid.
Can anyone tell me about the operation for this and recovery period; and if their dog recovered fully. Also if there was any additional issues arising from the high calcium.
I’m getting limited communication from the vets (I know Covid makes it hard) and I’m finding the unknown difficult. We have petplan insurance for £7k, but I’m also conscious that the vets are racking up huge bills on tests so I would be interested to know surgery costs. Thanks!
