Season twice in 3 months? Nomal? 🍓

Hi, we have a 10nmonth old rescue girl. She had her first season in December, it lasted just over 3 weeks.

She was booked in to be spayed this coming Monday, but has now started spotting again. Her vulva is the size of a planet as it was in December. However I'm worried this isn't normal to have another one so soon, and something is wrong. She doesn't seem to be bleeding quite as much as last time, but maybe it will kick in?.

She is totally fine in herself, eating, playing and no changes in behaviour at all. No smells or signs of infection. But I'm just worried about 'Pyometra' or the dog becoming unwell with something serious whilst I wait it out and avoid the vets unnecessarily!

Any advice/experience is hugely appreciated!

It can happen I was once involved with a bitch who had a season every 6 weeks we ended up spaying her in season.

Ours had what the Vet called a Split season, she had to look it up! Just waited until the next full one and had her done via Key hole
