Dog whistle recommendation

Hi all. I bought one but there's no sound at all and Darcy dog doesn't even seem to hear it! Is it duff or is he faulty?!
Can you recommend me one? We are working on recall and he's doing ok but I think a constant "signal" would be better.

I use acme whistles.

I use Acme too. 211.5 for my Labrador.

Acme. Cheap, and easy to replace with the same tone if you lose one or, er, chew through the end from over-use.

Humans if that's not a silly question? I've heard some that are like a peep but but super loud but mine is like I'm blowing through a straw despite its promises to be dog attention grabbing!

We have acme too. If you go on the acme website you can hear what the whistles sound like.
I blow mine quietly in the house sometimes to practice recall, but then loudly when out in the park (and ddog has caught sight of the birds...)

They're very audible. I tend to have brightly coloured ones so I can see them if I drop them, though generally I just hang it round my neck.

One pitch is meant to travel further than the other - forget which.

Top tip: keep a spare in the car for the day that you forget the one that you keep in the house.

Definitely Acme. Different Acme whistles are recommended for different breeds. We have them on every lead 😂

acme - utterly brilliant - you hear it - the dog hears it ... even our wee dachshund has brilliant recall with it
