Raw or not

Taking ownership of an eight week Doberman, currently being fed raw.

Intend to continue initially for continuity.

Last dog (lost him in December 2019) was kibble fed.

Things seem to have changed.

What have people found best?

My dog thrives on raw and I am happy with it. It has made his gut healthier and his poos easier to pick up. On kibble his stomach was never right. I'm not a raw fanatic, I don't necessarily think it's the perfect solution for every problem, but it works for us and I find it easy and inexpensive.

My mini dax is on a complete raw, her coat is lovely and she was underweight when we got her, shes a little on the porky side now i must admit. Shes done lovely on it.

I raw feed, I have had him on kibble. He started on kibble with his foster mum, we moved him to raw when he came home at 10 weeks and it suited him well, he stayed on raw for the best part of a year before we had to put him back on kibble as he went to foster care again. Once he came home we kept him on kibble it didn't really suit him but as he was in and out of boarding kennels it was easier. Now things are more normal at home he is back on raw and is a calmer, more chilled dog and he smells less on raw.

Mine have always been on good quality kibble and I've had no issues. My rescue was raw fed by rescue and had terrible stomach issues involving vets when I adopted him. I took him off raw problem now resolved.
