Dog doesn’t drink

Should I be worried?

I’ve never known a dog with such a low thirst drive!

She will drink from puddles, lakes etc on a hot day if running around outside, very occasionally take a few gulps from the water bowl if it’s an eye wateringly hot day but otherwise she doesn’t drink.
She’s been like that since she was a small puppy and she’s 8 now

She seems very healthy 🤷‍♀️

Does she have wet food? If so she's probably getting her water requirements from that.

Yes she’s always had wet food, sometimes I do add a sprinkling of dry biscuits too.
I’ve recently started adding water to her wet food to make it a bit soupy as I’m unsure if it’s normal for her to drink so little.
Everyone else’s dogs seem to drink loads!

My dog is fed on fresh meat and vegetables and drinks very little. If I see him having a big drink I know he’s eaten rubbish while we were out.
They drink what they need.

Our dog has wet food. He almost never drinks from his bowl of water, which is always fresh & available. He will occasionally drink from a puddle and has been eating snow Grin We have given him dry food on and off, at which times he does drink plenty of water. So I assume that he is getting enough moisture from his food, as he is very healthy in every way.

My two don't drink a lot - their water bowls need refilling once a week max. They wee plenty though!
