There's a meme going round and it says

'I saw a woman talking to her cat and thought how stupid she was because the cat doesn't know what she's saying and the cat can't talk back. I went home, told my dog about it and we laughed lots'

Its a well known fact that Lancashire dogs are the most intelligent dogs in the UK. I feel this notice is playing them down tbh.

I wonder what it’s telling them??

I think it's saying, could you please try to wait till you're nearly home rather than all of you doing it within 10 metres of getting on the towpath because some of your owners 'forget' the bags or 'leave them to pick up later'.
