So, looking for inspiration to name our female pup, who will look something like this! (Not actual photo, just to give an idea.) Will be a medium sized dog, so not wanting anything too cutesy, but we can't come up with anything!

My pup was about the size of a hamster. They need to get used to a collar or harness very slowly in the house before going outside.
A useful tip is that new baby pups stay close to you for security so can be let loose in safe places to learn to come when called.

@LostArcher Ah, it's a minefield. I think ours will have a little collar and lead with her, they have been wearing collars at the breeders and I think she said that will be part of the puppy pack.

Good idea to use up old socks, I'm sure DH has a few going spare!

Am still working through the names, I think I might write my shortlist of names I love and everyone else can cross off the one they really don't want. Whatever is left is the winner

I've just looked back and seen your pup is a Rough Collie - how lovely. Gorgeous puppy. You might have as much hair as us! Ours, despite looking like a Collie, is an Australian Shepherd and also very hairy!
Hopefully I'll see you on the puppy thread here and we can compare notes
