Raw feeders - which are your dog's favourite brands - and why?

My wee dachshund cant believe his luck.... raw food every day and he is loving it!

About to try some other brands - Natural Instinct so far which feels a bit mushy and wet .... and liking the look of many of them. Especially Paleo Ridge and the Dog Butcher ... both seem to have great values and good looking meat.

Which brands do you like for your dogs, and I'd love to know why....

and huge thanks to those who talked about this in my earlier thread before we started raw feeding - when it was all sounding too much hassle... and of course it isn't!

My mini dachshund loves paleo ridge the best, she literally dances with excitement at meal times 😊 we’ve also had nutriment and Bella and duke in the past

Ps. Paleo Ridge seems to be the most expensive but also gets the highest ratings on the raw dog food comparison sites for nutrition

and with dachshunds I've realised that of course even if it is expensive because they eat so little it doesn't add up to much!

Thischam ... which Paleo Ridge does she - and you - like the best?

I use Bella and Duke. He's a chihuahua cross poodle, so not very big, it's about £46 every 7 weeks to feed him. He loves it and the variety they offer, I've not tried other brands yet as he's quite happy with it Smile

I used Vince the vet and nutriment.
I didn’t really rate natures menu raw - quite watery, didn’t like the smell.
I haven’t used the paleo ridge completes but I wasn’t impressed with their bony meat; very strong smelling/borderline rotten.
Natural instinct was okay.

We use MVM - mainly because it is local and ethical, would use Dogs Butcher more but need to travel further to pick that up.
Also some Durhams, tend to mix it up a bit, also have some DIY bits so she has bones and chunks some days.

@loveyouradvice
We use the completed, she loves the venison and duck, chicken, goat and fish!

Thanks This... all sound very appealing to me.... Wondering if the dog is going to be better fed than us!

Small Dog likes all the Paleo Ridge except their fancy Christmas one - none of the three dogs we offered it to would touch it! Some PR smells pretty bad but that's green tripe for you.

He also likes Durham Animal Feeds but I think it's too bony for him. OTOH it does come in 500g packets and that works better as it takes a week to get through 1kg.
