Bulldog spay (When?)

As title suggests, have been doing some research on spaying my bulldog as she has just turned 6 months, some are saying have her done now at 6 months before season and some are saying wait 12-14 months and at least one season. So conflicting. What have others done?

I have no advice but am similarly conflicted with regards my 6 month Dachshund/ JRT Cross female due to IVDD risk. Hope you don't mind me jumping in/ bumping your thread.

Thats fine!

I originally thought a year and after season but then the 6 months thing confused me. Its so difficult to know whats best.

Apparently some vets are recommending 6 months but I can't see why.

Wait till she’s finished growing so the growth plates have closed. I’m not well up on Bulldogs but I’d suspect not before 18 months or so.
Then have it done halfway between seasons when the hormone levels are at their lowest.
