Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice please.
Ddog 6 (springer) suddenly stopped putting any weight on her hind lag last week when out on a walk. No obvious cause - or yelping when feeling her leg. We rested her for a couple of days and no improvement so took her to the vet on Friday.
Vet said could be soft tissue damage or ACL, gave us dog paracetamol and tramadol and said to wean Ddog off of her steroids (for allergies) so that she can have some anti inflammatories , and complete rest (easier said than done with a springer!)
Today Ddog is putting some weight on the leg while walking - so I'm hoping that it is not the ACL 🤞
But, could it be the painkillers masking the pain?
I'm phoning the vet today anyway but just looking for some words of advice please from anyone who has experienced similar?
